Going to place an order for a XTX today - prices have come down to reality (thank god). Looking at some options form my new sled and need help:
1. Yamaha site does not indicate which covers fit the XTX - anyone know??
2. Looks like there is a new windshield bag for the 2011 - SMA-8HG21-00-00; can I not use the bag I have on my 2006 Apex?
3. Saddle Bags - looks like the 2011 take SMA-8HG73-00-00, does it fit on the XTX? how is the back of the bag affixed to the machine - does it connect to the rear handle (given it is an XTX that handle seems to be too far back to hold the bag tight to the machine) or is there another method? Is this the largest bag available for the XTX - was hoping they would figure out how to make some use of the extra 6-8" on the rear (I know about the exhaust issue).
4. Does the RX/RS Ultra Plate (belly pan proctector) fit on the 2011 units?
5. Does the nose bag fit in the 2011?

Sorry lots of questions but this site provides better knowledge than many of the dealers - I want to be prepared.

Congrats on your XTX. I have the windshield bag for my SE and it worked great until I bought the tall windshield, not compatable so I have one I can no longer use. :o| The saddle bags supposedly work on the XTX but you have to buy a buckle kit that mounts to the rear of the tunnel. # SMA-LUGGE-HW-KT listed on the installation instruction sheet. I think the belly pan protector is the same as for the RX/RS but not sure, I bought a new one and can't remember the part #...I am pretty sure the cover is the same also as I got the Delux cover free with the pre-season order and it's the same one as my 2006 ER cover. Older nose bag will not fit as the nose is now full of electronics for the EPS system. Hope this helps, good luck. ;)!

only issue on the premium tank bag is where does it hook-up - on the rear bar?? Is so does the exhaust not hit it??
