are you running any of the zero weight multi viscosity oils?
(low oil pressure at idle that is ok when revving the motor)

Mine just did the same thing on Tuesday when I was riding, I was terrified but confused at the same time, I was thinking well, the oil light is not on, and the oil tank is full, I just could not for the life of me figure it out, that was until I noticed the milage being counted in the warning. Then I guessed that it just wanted service.

Ok I changed the oil and filter (the engineer who designed the filter placement should be shot) now how do I turn off the blinking oil notification!
open the manual and follow along, real easy. sorry i can't remember the steps and i'm at work ![Div20 ;)! ;)!](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/div20.gif)
and i agree, the engineer that designed the filter placement needs to be wipped with a wet noodle. i have a great idea for the engineers, why not make the acess bigger so you can get to it from underneathe?
Wow , would make the oil change quicker and a whole lot easier. Thank God we only do it once a year.

It's done at the gauge pod. I can send you the info when I get to my home computer if you need it.
There is an oil filter relocation kit available aftermarket, although, the filter is not required to be changed again for (don't quote me... again it's in the manual) 12,000 miles or so.
