I know the rear seat comes off. Has anyone done any solo touring on this sled with the rear seat off? I am thinking tomorrow I could use the exrea cargo space as we have no fuel stations on the tour at all and need to carry extra fuel and all our gear and lunch etc.

Does the seat feel a lot shorter with the rear part off? Has anyone had any issues riding with the seat off?

The seat is designed to be removed, you will be fine. My buddy has done a few modifications to is Venture to make it more of a cross-over for the days he rides solo. It turned out really good!

Remove that seat, throw in your duffel bag, strap it to the rear grips with a couple of bungee cords, go sledding for 8 days and 2500km, no problems!

Sorry new4stroker I tried uploading pictures but didn't have much luck.

He made it so he could remove the rear seat and cargo tray as 1 piece, then he had a cover made for the tunnel, with a rack on it.Exhaust is under tunnel. Looks real clean, and he can put the seat back on in about 15 minutes if he is riding 2-up.
