I have tried to search for an answer to this question, and as I am new to this forum this year I may have missed it, but my question is regarding studding of my 2011 Apex SE. I had previously studded my 2008 Apex GT and had no issues with the stock setup, but I was told that I can not stud the 2011 Apex SE without adding a tunnel protector. I was under the impression that there was already a guard in place in the tunnel to protect the exhaust. Can anyone shed some more light on this question for me? The least amount of money the better, as I just spent money on the Yamaha HID kit for it, and buying the studs, and a few other items. Thanks.

yes you have them but you need to add to them or lower the ones you have down. just search it on here

I personally did nothing extra and had no issues. Others did have some ticking.
I ran my track to spec. No slide wear issues. 4,000 km like this.
