First ride today on my new gt. Going to take a little while to get use to coming from an rs nytro. I really like the gt. That efi motor is so smooth. I’m 6’2” and the seat feels a little cramped. Has anybody come up with a solution for the short driver seat. I really liked the seating position on that nytro. Just looking for a longer driver seat.

you could always add some padding to the seat to make more of a ramp going to the 2 up section. i do know a 2011 apex xtx stock riser raises the bars on the venture about 1-1.5" if i rember correctly.

I thought about taking some padding out of the back of the driver’s seat where it starts to angle up to the passenger seat. Never thought about adding padding to the seat. I don’t think I can do it myself. Probably have to get someone that does upholstery.

been debating this mod to my dads 05 sx venture as my legs are not long enough for me to ride back on the 2 up like my brothers do.

I'm 5'6" and wish the seat was a bit longer. I don't know how you do it!
So, Yamaha's 2up sleds are designed for midgets that weigh 500 lbs!
If you don't back off the front shock in the rear suspension, you'll never steer it, unless you weigh 500 lbs!

Ya, It's a little tight. Just looking for guys that have done the mod to there seat. Add padding or take some out of the driver's seat. Looking at all the 2 ups out there seems only the old rs venture gives more room for the driver. But I didn't want the old seating position that has your knees much higher than your butt.
