So the 2013 nytro Xtx get new skis and a new track a backcountry 1.75. Not enough changes to make me go out and buy one. I was looking for a factory supercharged Xtx.

don't forget the down grades shocks upfront
Whoa there...you forgot the separate hand and thumb warmer controls, insulation under the heated grips and best of all...Bold New Graphics , I do like the looks of it in black....thank god I'm not looking for a new sled anytime soon....heck, I've only doen 100 miles this year....can't see spending any money on a sled at all in the next 2 years. Yamaha just pooped the bed on this release.

Yaaaaay!
Boys don't forget the 5lbs of weight saving! Yahoo. Very dissapointed especially with what the other brands are bringing to the table. New skis and new track not quite enough for me either.

In a way it is kind of nice that they didn't come out with a game changer. It keeps my bank account full and the value of my XTX didn't drop out of site. Hell I can put on a 1.75 track and the updated skis and change the graphics and call it a 2013! Way to go Yamaha!

Maybe next year the game changing new release will be the "YAMAHA Nytro XTX 1.75 w/steering relocate." If so, I'm selling my 2010. lol

New stuff would be cool, but keep it real, who's gonna run out and buy new expensive sleds after a snowless winter?
At the same time the lackluster improvments make me wonder if Yamaha isn't looking at getting out of sledding.

It's not snowless everywhere. We've got loads of white gold.

I think a conservative approach by Yamaha is in their best interest, even though many snow sports people (like most of us on this board) don't like it. I would rather see them stay in the sled business than leave. If they leave, mine and your yamaha sleds are worth a lot less. I have a 2012 nytro xtx and with the low snow this year I only have 170 miles and it has really been a bummer. I would anticipate there will be a lot less new 2013 machines sold with all the new and non-currents that didn't sell this year. Many dealers of all brands are sitting on a lot of unsold inventory, including lots of trade-ins. This year for riding is shot for Minnesota basically, the worst I ever remember seeing. Along with the high costs invovled with sledding, we may have to be happy for awhile if all the manufacturers are able to make it. Of course I could be all wrong, I am not interested in argueing about speculation.

Very dissapointing but perhaps Yamaha will just ship a few parts ( and a punch for VIN change) out to the dealers and get them to convert all there left-over 2012's into 13's?
