It's a 2013..fairly new.......don't suppose the shock is actually defective....I would think with everything set to light it would still be hard to bottom out....yet alone with everything set stiff.

gavink said:I wish I had a bottoming issue instead of mine being way too stiff! I have my 2012 gt for sale because it rides like your on a board if you hit any whoops. Front shock spring is almost backed all the way loose, lowest compression sett g and lowest torsion spring setting. We are 280-300 dressed total and it just wants to bounce us off the seat all the time! Yamaha does not offer softer springs and I am not sure what else to try. If any one has ideas, throw them at me! Else the sled is for sale! Thanks!!
if you are close to me gavink I can let you try the heavy duty apex springs. they are lighter than the stock venture springs and are the same dimensions. for some reason the Canadian apex xtx came with them. I have nitro xtx springs on it now. brother has 2013 venture gt and the springs are the same dimension other than wire thickness.
pat, Yamaha part # for the 4 position block is SMA-8JP39-BL-00 on Yamaha usa site. Canada site did not give me a part # when I ordered mine last week as the nitro springs are a touch lite for me on hard still.
