I trying to compare the two models looks like the RTX SE gets no heated seat and fox 2 shocks instead of coil over and heated seat on the base
is the skid the same? what else might not be the same

I believe the SE should have Float 3 shocks, painted tunnel and skid, different graphics. Std has coil overs, bare tunnel and skid, heated seat, higher windshield. Std is a much better trail cruisier, SE is stiff for pounding the bumps.

2014 Base viper
Suspension: Front: SRV; aluminum rebuildable HPG shocks; 10 in. travel
Rear: Dual Shock SR 129; C43 R13 aluminum HPG / C53 R13 aluminum HPG shocks; 13.5 in. travel
2014 RTX SE
Suspension: Front: SRV; Fox® FLOAT® 2 shocks; 10 in. travel
Rear: Dual Shock SR 129; C43 R13 aluminum HPG / C53 R13 aluminum HPG shocks; 13.5 in. travel
Looks like the rear is the same shocks, but does this mean there valved the same?

My 2014 came with Float 3's, actually replaced them with the Std shocks for a better ride.. They are not valved the same, had mine revalved.

IMO opinion the SE is a much better looking sled, colors and graphics..... But unless you really want to pound thru the bumps the Std is a better trail sled. Of course you can mod the SE suspension to closer match the Std. And something over the SE windshield is a big help.

That is wrong. Totally different shocks front and rear. Valving for SE cannot be used in the base or DX.
