Hey guys I have been reading alot about clutching and gearing trying to decide. I figured it might be easier just to post a thread and let you know what I'm working with.
Just installed current upgrades are full hurricane hindle exhaust with header pipe, air box mod, PC5 with hurricane tune, ignition module, 1.75 back country track, OSP secondary clutch tool adjuster, 8DN belt being used.
I have a bender racing clutch kit that I picked up cheap but have not installed yet.
From what I have read, I should change my gearing to 21/41 to allow more mph on top end, is this correct?
Is my stock gearing 21/49?
Also I have not heard alot about this Bender clutch kit, should I try it or should I be going a different route? The bender kit comes with adjustable weights, primary and secondary spring, and a helix.
Thanks in advance

With a 1.75 lug track 9 tooth drivers I would leave the stock gearing in. You lose a lot of speed with a big lug track and you need hp for it.

So reading more, my stock gearing is 24/50 from a spec sheet posted from yamaha. But yes I think it is best to leave the gearing. Ratios prove that it will not run out of gear until 116mph roughly.

So I'm stuck on this Bender clutch kit, has anyone used one? Does is allow full shift in secondary with no spring binding?
