2014 viper ltx se
Looking for anyone that has went from nytro Rtx to viper?
I'm seriously considering upgrading. I love my nytro, it's been problem free and pulls hard. I went from apex to nytro and now maybe viper. Anyone else made the switch? The ltx looks to be what I like, a bit of powder and good in the bumps. Hopefully can get a deal on a leftover 14.

I made the switch, I like the viper. The 1049 appears to be more balanced in the procross chassis and feels lighter. Its a different beast though, as the nytro would pull the skis, the viper remains planted. Floats are much improved on the viper compared to the nytro. Ergos are better for me on the viper as I had to install a wrp seat on my nytro to raise my hips. Viper stock skis and carbides are useless so be prepared to swap those out, or at least the carbides to improve handling. IMO The ripsaw 2 is much better than the 1 from the nytro. It is more of a paddle than the finger like track of the nytro. If you ride alot of off trail get the ltx but the viper rtx is a 129 as the rtx nytro is only a 121 so your gaining 8 inches of track length. LTX will bridge the bumps better. good luck hope that helps.

I love my nytro too, but now that it has over 9000 miles I spring ordered a rtx le. Hope I like it is much as the nytro.

I had the XTX Nytro and one the LTX Viper. Remember your RTX Nytro was 121 the RTX viper is 129, that does not mean your skid is 8 inches longer! Maybe 2-3 inches longer if that! So your not getting that much longer. The whole track is 8 inches longer. The 141 is about 1 inch longer than the 137 with the skid. So not much difference!
