Hi all. This is a PSA to 2014 owners out there that might save aggravation, sled loss(fire) and injury.
I recently bought a '14 ZR7000 in really good shape. Quick once over and off for a long weekend trip North. Sled was running awesome, then died. Smelled gas and noticed it coming from under the seat. Pulled seat and seen the barbed fitting molded into the sending snapped flush. The plastic on the seat bottom hit the fitting/connector and snapped it. We tried epoxy it as a temporary fix but I figured it wouldn't work and it didn't. The Tow of Shame followed.
I researched and found that in 2015 onwards they installed a protective bracket over this connection for this issue and should have done a recall on the '14 models to supply said bracket. I highly recommend getting and installing this if you have a 2014 Viper or ZR7000!! I'm attaching some crappy pics. Really like the sled otherwise.
Cheers
Mike
