2017 SW LTX-LE upgrade

I just feel like with the heavy hitters you get the belt grab down low and the low finish angle keeps hold of the belt at speed. Not too mention the advantage of the steep angle on a dig or out of a corner. I tried going back to the 35 Dalton helix and adjusted the weight for it. I just couldn't get it out of there fast enough. It was just boring compared to the 45/33.

Here is the problem Sledroll. Ramsomair stole a SRX, meaning, your sled becomes less and less valuable trying to sell outright or trading in. Great for Ramsomair for getting a great deal but resale value goes in the tank for everybody trying to trade or sell which is why I will keep my 17 and maintain it and keep riding the piss out of it!
 
The SRX I "stole" was purchased from a car dealer. It was the owner's sled and the guy has more money than time. He told his sales manager to get rid of it and they priced it low. They are a car dealer that sells huge volumes of pick ups and they could care less whether they made $50 or $500 when they want to concentrate on making $10-20K profit on a $70-90k truck. They don't know jack about the value of sleds and could care less. Now I have to move all my mods from my 2017 LTX-LE to the SRX and wait until fall to list the old girl. It has served me well with only a broken primary spring and a broken center shock spring. I believe all the upgrades and mods have kept this machine as reliable as my 08 Apex with 30K on it. My main reasoning for moving to something newer was the mileage on the 2017, currently 15,000kms. I'm afraid once it hits 20k after next season, then the resale will really plummet. Picking up the SRX with 90 miles on it for a couple grand less than what most other SRXs were going for with 5-7000kms just made sense. Oh, and its dead sexy!
 
Ramsomair, not trying to be critical of your purchase. Just trying to show how their is NO RESALE value on any snowmobile. If I could do it all over again, I would have waited 3 more months to buy my 17 and saved over $3500 bucks! But hindsight is...... ah, you know! lol
 
All good man. I have been keeping my eyes open for a low mile 2019 SRX for a long time and passed on many. This one came along and I jumped on it. Will see what the fall brings for prices of used sleds. Perhaps with people not snow checking now it may make the used market more desireable in the fall, who knows. will list the 2017 in the fall either way.

This is what my 2017 LTX-LE is now doing,when it is up to running temps,and has been out on trails,and i stop to try and turn around,by backing up and engage the reverse button,it throws a code and wont move,i have to shut off sled,wait a couple seconds,restart and reengage the reverse button,and most of the time it works,but not always. Woody,s told me it was my reverse actuator.

I don't believe I had a code , but it would all of a sudden not not go in reverse , and in fact go in to neutral , even though the R was showing on the dash.
Had to numerous times turn it on and off to get it into forward .
I was heading on a last weekend 1000 klms. ride and was told go ahead but to be safe don't put it in reverse .
Everything went well , and took the sled in for warranty work in the summer .
Of course the dealer couldn't replicate the issue , so just replaced the gears and actuactor anyway .
is yours getting replaced under warranty ?

Does the owner have a brother who owns a Ford dealership , that might be bailing on the sistership ???
My biggest concern is reliability , and not getting stranded , as I do tooooooo much solo riding .
The odds say that a new sled should be less likely to break down particularily due to fatigue .
What may help keep my sled performing optimally going forward , is the way I drive.
Every year I get passed on the trail, or pull over to make passing easier , by more sleds .
But I still want that corner to corner ski lifting fun , even though I don't ride as fast continuously , or spend much time above 110 , 115 , or 120 ish , on the power line trails , or lakes.
I have a little time to decide on a Spring order , and all summer and fall to decide on a new non current or gently used SW .

sounds like belt drag, I bet a shim removed on secondary would cure it. stupid electronic shifting anyway, give me a handle any day. rather have a tight belt

No i think my warrenty runs out this month,and i am not close to my machine,and like you already stated,it may be hard to duplicate,mine only did it after riding,when fully warmed to to temp. Mine would not do it in my garage,even when up to operating temps,but once out and riding for some miles and all things very warm,thats when it would give me trouble.

Not sure about sledroll,s sled,but mine had a very lose belt,as i have a belt adjuster on mine,but once i did have it to tight it would not go into gear,in either direction,i have had a cat in 13 that had same set up,so i do understand this devise.
