2860rs vs. 2854r?

Just wondering how the 2854 compares. My friend fried his 2860 due to a plugged oil line an;d is looking at a 2854r. I am not familiar with it so I'm wondering max psi boost.

Any 54 is good to a max of like 16 but they are only efficient to about 10 in reality if you look at the compressor map. A 60 will do 22-24 depending on the exhaust A/R but is really happy at 15-17. I just swapped out my 2554 for s 2860. You won't have as much heat built up with a 2854 as you would with a 2554 but it still won't push the air efficiently over 10-12 lbs because the compressor is too small. I'd pay to rebuild the 2860 JMO.
