4-Stroke Break in additives

This would only cause the plugs to foul out sooner . The best way is to run it varying the throttle with short full throttle busts for only short time .

Thanks Tom

I do this for the two strokes as well but lubrication is still added to first tank of fuel.
Just wondering if anybody had considered doing this on their 4-stroke.

I would not do this on a four stroke you may get some dieseling effect and cause some engine damage from a backfire.

Thanks Tom & Sled Dog,
I am a first time Yamaha owner and want to take the very best care of my new machine. I have never even driven a 4-stroker so I don't know what to expect. I am so pumped about this up comming season I wish I could have trailered it to North Dakota just to try her out! :D

Sled dog is right. No additives are need for the 4 stroke but vary the speed the first 300 miles to brake it in. Avoid holding the gas to the bar until after it's had a chance to get all the parts lubricated properly.
