When I purchased my RX1 new, I did it by the manual. It burn oil like there was no tomorrow. I had a ring job done and it is now perfect. Going forward, I always give it a great warmup, and after 25 miles, I ride it like normal. I used to say ride it like you stole it, but I am getting older and that does not happen very often anymore. The Motoman's theory is a little harsh, but what do I know. Keep the oil clean and go out and have a ball. Looking forward to another great season with new iron on BIG Blue!
