Will a 4 stroke motor lose its lubrication if left on its side or climbing extreme hills?
I recently left my sled idle sideways on mountain as i was trying to un struck.
I have a hard time believing you could cause major damage mostly because this is a dry sump oil system. The crankshaft is not spinning through an oil pan of oil that will all sit on one side and be tough to get to at an angle. A pump is taken that oil from the tank and forcing it into the oil passages the way it's designed. This and the ability to mount the engine lower are some of the reasons they went with a dry sump system.
I don't recommend running it on it's side for a long time but I highly doubt you will cause damage climbing a steep hill or being at a side angle for a short while.
