I have a line on this sled, talked him down to $4000, he won't go lower. I don't know yet what warrantee/recall work has been done on it, will find out later today.

I'm tall 6-5", about 230, been riding over 30 years, stick to mostly groomed trails (which are more often than not whooped up a little). I'm not a speed demon but like to pull the trigger and have fun now and then. Almost no lake riding. The Phazer happens to be in my price range, but I don't want to buy something that won't work for me. I'll do about 1000 miles a year with it.

What do you think? THANKS!

Get every single recall done, close in the tunnel and install a decent set of skis. I got a similar deal and although I have had some problems, it was all covered under warranty. This is a FUN sled. It'll hang with any 600cc 2 stroke up to 60 mph. I would also highly recommend a 1.5" track, it helps keep the cooler clean and allows it to hook up really well. Without the skis and track, the sled is not nearly as responsive. Also, read everything you can in here and learn about the potential pitfalls of owning a phazer, that way you can correct the problems before they begin. You'll love it.

I'm being told by the seller that 2 of the recalls are not yet done, but he claims even the 2nd owner can get them done free at a Yammi dealer. Anyone know if this is true? Thanks.

Yup, that's true. I bought an '07 FX used about a year ago and I've taken it to the dealer for the updates that had not been done. They were all done for free. I called them a couple weeks ago about getting a free radiator fan, and although they didn't come through on that he did tell me to bring it in for another update that would also be free.

Good luck.

Is that $4,000 US or CDN?

Around my parts (Northeast US) you can pick up a BRAND NEW Phazer RTX for under $5,500.

Where? At a dealer that then says $300 more for "prep" or freight?

I ended up getting it for $3700 US, it's an '07.
