Look very closely at the first picture! If I'am seeing it correctly, Is the track really ballooned out that bad? I think I see the front of the rails and that is a lot of distorted track! The potential for disaster seems to be lurking! I need to get a picture of my 159 and see what it looks like. Granted my track speed is 70 plus when climbing, and I casn push 110 on good straight shot, but that looks scarry! Does anyone else see it?

Yeh the power is impressive! I'am just totally amazed out how much is on the ground from driver to skid! I would love to see the top of the track and how close it is to tunnel! It would sure rattel your butt if it hit the underside of the tunnel. The drivers are a must for mountains to. How tight is the track? Do you run tighter with that much speed and power? It just has me thinking with oversized track and running 260 -300 HP for mountains!

Well, I've never driven with more than 320HP on those sleds, but with that hp, and 10tooth non slip, it fried the rest of the suspension, all the smaller wheels in the suspension.

I have seen that excact sled in the picture, but it was only running 660 feet then, and hitting the REV limiter hard.

Watch your drivers. We've melted ALOT of the stock drivers...

un f-in real.

Apex mountain gets anti ratchet from factory.... but I melted them in 500km of bender turbo treatment last winter :-o

Now I have wahl anti slips and sure hope they will hold better

Actually that thing MELTED the drive belt trough the secondary clutch sheaves when they were running 1000ft runs. Rider said it wasn´t the first time.... Gets kinda hot he said. LOL!

That would explain why it only ran 143MPH in 2000ft. Hate to rain on your parade, but that is not what 450 HP should do in 2000ft. I would expect to see something in the 170-175 Area. If your melting the clutches you are asking for them to blowup. Best get that corrected. Mike Knapp#17

Thank you. I have watched the Bender turbo RX1's test at North Bay a couple winters ago. Making 300 and 350hp. These are basically full ride height sorta trail sleds!! They both ran in the 140's in 2000 feet. Top run was 146 I think. All runs were not the full track length, just roll on runs.
Both sleds lifted the heads!

We have a Turbo RX1 here running 135+ and as high as 143 on that track last winter. Running our 'Trail class' rules! Here is this sled http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=30593&highlight=

Turbos rule!! ;)!

I wonder why. I know they are using 4arm primary, so there shouldn't be any problems getting the rpm's down without setting the secondary to hard. I saw 3 secondarys set up to hard last year, and they where on the verge of blowing up.

Usko should figure this out, he knows his stuff....

I think it was the first time when that sled ran 2000 ft distance. Don´t know about gearing , clutching and stuff...

Usko has all figured out now I think. It was spinning like crazy though.

KnappAttack, I know you guys run those speeds. Here speedruns are nothing official, just clubs organizing events. 140 + is plenty fast though.

hmmm...well, sure hope he gets it figured out before dragrace season starts. Sure wan't to see that yammie on top of the podie again...

But, that's just 660 feet... :yam:

I assume he is unstudded. Starting # indicates he is going to run it in 660 ft snow drag series where studding is not allowed.

ike do you know if he's studded or not?
