450 hp RX-1 speedrun video, 143 mph in 2000ft

I assume he is unstudded. Starting # indicates he is going to run it in 660 ft snow drag series where studding is not allowed.

ike do you know if he's studded or not?

No studs. Rules you know. Like you said.

awww, so he ran 143mph in 2000 feet with NO studs?

Yep. On snow, no studs, start from snow etc. On Stalker radar.

Ike

That is hauling!

Yep! Like I said plenty fast! From a standing start it´s pretty good.

Well, I know there are faster sleds out there, but heyy, it´s young sport here. Just taking small baby steps now LOL!

In 660 ft on snow last year Mr Landsverk ran 26/36 for gearing, it was the only way they could keep it off the rev limiter. Not shure if it was the same sled, but the sled he ran was build by Usko Sarre of Tenon Metalli OY. It was still spinning like crazy all the way to the finish line, it needs a little more track maybe?

That would be the same sled I think.

It also spun at Sodankylä like no tomorrow. More testing should cure that.

no studs

That's insane to run 143 mph on bare ice with no studs.I'm suprise the back end didn't kick out and barrel roll the sled.I ran some turbo sled but they where aleways studded.I ran a non studded vector in a 1000ft radar run at 93 mph and I though that was nut because it was getting squirrely.

pro116 - this is on hardpack snow without studs

I have a stage 4 on the dyno right now as we speak, this sled will be used for radar runs.
I was never a big 4 stroke fan but let me tell you if this thing makes power like i'm expecting, there might be a 4 stroke 1000 in my 05 mach by next year!

this thing is just making me HORNY!!!  :4STroke:

Well, I've never driven with more than 320HP on those sleds, but with that hp, and 10tooth non slip, it fried the rest of the suspension, all the smaller wheels in the suspension.

I have seen that excact sled in the picture, but it was only running 660 feet then, and hitting the REV limiter hard.

Watch your drivers. We've melted ALOT of the stock drivers...

Actually that thing MELTED the drive belt trough the secondary clutch sheaves when they were running 1000ft runs. Rider said it wasn´t the first time.... Gets kinda hot he said. LOL!

Ike

430hp definitely need a 6 ramp clutch
I wonder why. I know they are using 4arm primary, so there shouldn't be any problems getting the rpm's down without setting the secondary to hard. I saw 3 secondarys set up to hard last year, and they where on the verge of blowing up.

Usko should figure this out, he knows his stuff....

obr did a mistype I guess, he probably meant "getting the rpms down without setting the secondary too soft" instead of "too hard"

LOL - the cat guys have already done that. I saw a ThunderCat with a RX-1 turboed engine, funny thing hearing that 4stroke turbo roaring when he hit the starter, I was more of expecting the usual ding-ding-ding-ding 2smoke sound off the jaws, D&D, SpeedWerx, - pipes hahaha-happynewyear
