Mine went on the weekend, 5000 miles. I'm putting in the same hub (factory) but it comes with replaceable bearings. Also installing the fourth wheel kit so if a bearing goes in the future I can limp home.

Why go with what broke? Extra wheels wont help you if internal breaks. With some advice from here I went with the Larson Racing 4th wheel kit. Its what the racers all use and once you see it in person you will understand. Never had one fail apparently.
Proper replacable bearings, billet hub and flanges. 4 tough wheels.

Many threads on this subject, worth doing a search, there is a lot of good info. I went with Belanger Racing, nice kit, full replacement of try hub with four separate wheels, customer service leaves something to be desired.

Larson is overkill for most people. JT products is fine for most people. Stock is good for gamblers.

overkill maybe but all said and done I paid $350 for mine and he brought it to Menards in Grand Forks when I was on my way down for WeFest. This is one of those times where I am okay with a bit more than I need. I had a friend with a XF7000 hit a rock and break his tri hub. No tri hub, no break.

What ever kit you choose they are way better than that darn tri-hub. I have a JT products kit and it's super nice. I like having 4 independent wheels with their own bearings. It's ugly when the tri-hub fails, I only got 1,500 miles out of mine.

I almost went with the JT, but was talked into just adding Yamaha's 4th wheels on the outside. Was told by a very experienced person on here, it wasn't necessary unless I was doing a lot of jumping and such. He's got a Larsen kit btw. I'm a 90% groomed trail rider. May still consider something else in the future.

I have 4500 miles on stock tri hub with JT outside wheel kit no issues yet. I ride groomed trails in the u.p. pretty aggressively and weigh about 215lbs. May be time to give it a good once over so I dont have any issues when I take skid out this summer for hyfax replacement and shock rebuild. What is everyone using to get ride of the tri-hub? min just went at 2020 miles and i need a fix.

yah i dont buy that one bit...the issue is the bearings are tiny, cheap and molded into the wheel. 3 of us have tri hub deletes one is pure trail rider and 2000kms and the bearings were junk....other 3000 bearings were gone...mine lasted 5000 by luck but they felt like crap. Add all the outer wheels you want the inside is still going to blow apart

I bought the j+t outside wheels that can be added to the tri hub.
At the time my 14 rtx tri hub had molded in/non replacable bearings. I machined them out and made them replacable.
Now all 4 wheels on the rear are servicable.
3600 miles on it so far with no issues. The rest of the sled is another story, lol
