4th wheel kit?

4th wheel helps the rear of a track when cornering. (side to side forces)
I think it also helped on the long track XTX getting the track around the back more efficiently.
For hard pack trails, lakes, roads...
The more wheels the better.

In my opinion, put the 4th wheel kit on for 1 reason. So when your outside wheel breaks off... you can still limp it home.

for sure keeps the track aligned better and resists cornering forces...IMHO a must if agressive riding when studded..

I run them on all my sleds. I have actually ran tracks off the rails, better safe than sorry.

You absolutely do not NEED to have the 4th wheel. But after i saw my buddy break his outside wheel off, stick his rail through his track, rip the track and bend the rail... I bought a 4th wheel kit lol

I've only seen that happen once in my lifetime. But once is enough for me!

and there it is like I said cheap insurance!

by the way...you dont need to buy the kit..you can cut the long spacer removing the width of the bearing...and reuse the two pieces...add an axle wheel and your set

For comparison. I run a 3 wheel kit with no outside wheels. We ride mostly off trail, so I choose to not run outside wheels so they do not get ripped off as stated above. I do 3 wheels vs a 2 wheel also for reasons stated above that if a bearing blows you have one extra wheel running. OFT did a 4 wheel inside kit and I saw it one night, but I am not sure if they ever released it for sale.
