Well, after realizing my transfer/control rod was just laying on my track (the cross member that holds it up towards the front was broke off on both sides) tonight, I figured I have to take my '05 RX-1 to the dealer to be fixed. I had thought I had seen a crack in another part of the suspension on a different tube the other week, but couldn't tell if it was just rusting or an actual crack. Since I have to take it in to get it fixed, I think now is the time to have absolutely everything that needs to be gone over looked at. Well, I'm clueless as to what all of these need to be after 6500 miles. The only other thing I ever had to have fixed on this reliable machine was wheels. (Well, I did have a bare wire rub too, but that I was able to fix myself, with the oversight of others.) I have changed the oil (including chaincase) per schedule and greased the fittings that are there (still is how it came from the factory, maybe I need to ask them to add more zerks?) The only mods I have to this sled are Speedshop clutching and filters. Everything else is stock and the track is not studded. What other things need to be upgraded, checked, or what other mods can be done other than nitrous, supercharge, or turbo? Please help all you RX gurus out there. Thanks in advance.

dilemma
I took it in and just the part that was broke (unfortunately comes only in one piece), referred to as a W-arm/H-arm/pivot arm?, will cost $320. He said installed it may be close to $500. Is it worth it or should I look on the classifieds for someone parting out? Shipping would probably be expensive I assume? I really planned on selling before the beginning of next season too. Maybe I should ask for a trade in value? I also was looking at getting a newer sled to replace my SRX. Maybe I should see if someone will trade me a Vector for my RX? I'm lost.

At the end of last season(first week of april)i was preparing the sled for its winter sleep and noticed cracks in the front arm.My dealer wanted $300 bucks for a new arm but alot of folks on here said just weld new metal in the weak areas,so i removed the front arm and got my cousin to weld somes pieces of metal in the cracked areas(also noticed my bushings were toast in the hinge on the front rails).Don,t know how long this will last but there are many pictures on this site of folks who got there front arms welded so you can find ideas on where to put the extra metal.Only got to put 15miles on my warrior so far this winter due to the rain and wind, time will tell if the welding will hold up.

welding
LS, I don't think welding is an option because the the tubing actually broke off completely on both sides. If there were cracks only, I think it may work, but since it's actually broken off welds may not hold well. Might be wrong as I'm not a welder or fabricator, though. Hope yours holds up for you.
