just rode the final weekend,390 miles. combination of groomed trails, lakes and ditches and lots of powder, heres how i see it?
great sled on groomed trails ( have replaced the rear spring with a 6.5)
no more bottoming, rip saw track is okay at best on this sled. i also have a rip saw on my rev and it works much better. the sled and or track trenches in deep snow, doesnt get stuck but just digs in deep, will replace the track with a 1 1/4 paddle next year. needs internal drivers as it ratchets in deep snow, i find you cant back off power all the way or just before going into a trurn as it just pushes. will try bigger carbides next year, darts quite bad on hard pack, related to skis and carbides i feel.
good gas mileage, addictive motor and exhaust sound, very comfortable for long ride, better than my rev in that aspect, rev is better in real rough situations, can drive a rev through crap really as hard as you want as long as you can hang on, the high beam button is in the wrong location, requires some thought to change from high to low, hand warmers are so so.
need a stiffer sway bar, considering putting a wider front end kit on to stop ski lift. good all around sled , i mean all around, lacks in the jumping and rough stuff area, well built, great fit finish, i really believe that generation three will be the ones to own, gets lots of attention at all stops.
like the no oil and oil smell. real turn the key and go sled. it is not the end all and be all but really close to the target in most aspects. pretty happy so far. good for me ,53 years old and slightly slowing down but still wants a sled with sizzle. just my take

A deeper lug won,t help. You will just dig a deeper trench. This sled is not made for real deep snow & flotation sux no matter how you set up the skid. If you ride real deep snow a lot buy something else but anything under 2' deep the sled works fine.

There is a fella in town that bought an Attak this year and put a 144 extension on it right away. I believe he went with a 1.5" track on it. I think he put the wide skis on as well. My neighbors rode with him up at the lake this winter after we got several feet of new snow. My neighbors both ride Renegades. They were totally impressed with the Attack in the deep snow. Claim it out handles their Gades by far. Second hand info, but came from the Doo guys, so it hold a bit more credibility with me.
Hopefully I can get some seat time on it next winter and find out for myself!!

Do you have any additional info on the 144 extension kit? Is there a specific mfg that makes one?
Thanks in advance,

Hartman Inc. is the company that sells the extensions and also sells a skid relocation kit to slide the skid back to help with approach angles, though I don't think anyone has used one of the slide re-location kits yet . Good Luck.
