A-arm durability

I just got a one year old phazer and I am wondering how durable the a arms are. I know a rock or stump would bend them, but how do they hold up to small trees, say an inch or two in diameter. They are more exposed than most other models of all the manufacturers and I am wondering if I should install a bigger bumper like the one found on a venture multipurpose? Where I ride it is often necessary to go over 40 or 50 feet of small trees(inch or 2 in diameter). Its never been a problem with other sleds but I am wondering how these exposed A-arms should hold up.

Thanks for your advice

That would be me .... We make aluminum a-arm protectors for the Phazer. See link to our website in my signature below.

No problem with regular stuff - seem to be pretty rugged thus far (sometimes running over same terrain) - only worry about stuff that would do damage on any other machine.
