last year i bumped into a tree and slightly bent the a arms on my 03 rx-1. i bought a set from a memeber here and hadn't had the chance to install them till now. i have been struggleing with them for two days when i noticed these arms are longer than the ones off my sled. orinally this was a mountain, but i switched tracks to convert it over to a mountain. is there a difference in A arm lenth because of this?
the orinal arms are 13" long...the ones i have are 15" long(center to center).
now my dilema is not only having to get another set, but should i go with the shorter set or the wider...which is better? i ride in the tight trails in vermont, if that helps.

The shorter set were put on mountain sleds so it could sidehill better . If you dont ride mountains put the longer ones on it will be alot more stable on trails.

You'll need new tie rods, as they need to reach the spindle's new position.
Regarding the shocks... thats an interesting question.
The parts catalog shows part 8EP-2376A-00-00 for shocks for 121" sleds. For 151", it shows BOTH 8EP-2376A-00-00 *AND* 8FA-2376A-00-00.
This is what I suggest... you have both arm lengths on hand. Install the new ones with your existing shock *BUT NOT THE SPRING* and see if it works. I.e. run it through its full stroke and make sure that the range works out OK.

ok..i think its easier for me just to stick with the 13" arm instead of swapping all these parts.
anyone have a 13" arm please email me.
