Just a seed thought..... No matter what model of RX-1 someone has, it seems there is always something he would like to change on it! I for one would like to convert my RX-1 Mountain to a wider ski stance, as I'm now physically limited from the deep steep stuff, ( I'm working on a bakers dozen in surgerys on my knees! ). I'm still a high speed trail pounder and a sometime mountain rocketeer, so a wider ski stance would be good for me! Anyone looking to make an "A" arm and tie rod swap from a short track??

You'll never find a short wanting to make the machine any narrower. Thing's already tippy and needs reconfiguration to stabilize. I would actually consider going extra wide if such a kit existed... instead I'm going to have to settle for the inverted skis made by Simmons which effectively widen the ski stance by one ski width (half on each side).
There are a some aftermarket A-arms available for lightening up AND/OR changing the stance. Sorry, I don't have an address.

Thanks for your reply, I to had considered and probably will use simmons and offset them when I install them. I'm just searching for some one with a short track who after they got it wished they had the Mountain and are now going to convert it, and try to save money by doing a swap of applicable parts. Any way thanks.......The Snow Chaser

Welcome Snochaser (you rookie It's nice to see you on finally on here. I like your thinking on the wider front end. I went to Simmon's skis too to effectively widen my front end too. I now have the longer sway bar links on too and I hope that's enough to keep the skis down so you don't keep going by me
I think where you may find your needle in a haystack is from someone who has added the Holtz front end "KIT" (do you like the name of that It saves a bunch of weight (9 lbs. if I remember right). It is 41" wide instead of the 42" stock width. Good luck my friend. If I see or hear of any I will send them your way. Powder Blue
PS: You may want to make a post on the Yamaha parts finder screen accessed from the main Totallyamaha page. Also, maybe AMSNOW or SNOWEST
