So, I've got an '03 shorty and with some mods am pretty happy with it, except the #*$&@ end. The '03's seemed to have presented many examples of first year model blues that, per what appears as a consensus, were largely corrected by '05.
In '06, both suspensions seem to have enough of a track record to hold their own or be slightly improved. The rider-forward is what it is, and seems most people will like it or not, but not be able to do a whole lot about its' basic nature. A bunch of other cosmetic and convenience features have been included, but those don't affect basic perfomance and reliability. But, the EFI, crank and engine re-design appear to be a fairly significant paradigm shift, and these are "plant" changes, for which Yami has a great deal of comparable R&D with their bikes.
Freddie and the rest, look into your cyrstal ball and tell me how close Yami will have come to "getting it" with the '06's. From what you've seen and what you know of Yami, will there be significant first year model blues with the '06 engine technology?
