A good indicator

Whats a good indicator when the idler(bogey) wheels need to be changed? Obviously when some are warped but if you were to lift up the machine and spin the wheel....how freely should the wheel spin? Also, how hard is it to take the side covers off the bearing in each wheel to pack with grease? Or, what tool could I use to make this task easier.

At the end of the season I pull the suspension and disassemble and repack the wheel bearings. Easy to do, carefully prior off the outer bearing seals, wash/dry bearing and repack. Or you could just install new ones.
