Last saturday, Syneige, Snowcruiser my wife and I started from home near Joliette and headed to the north to ride the Taureau Lake trails.
At the auberge Le Cabanon in St-Zenon, we took the 345 trail to the Dam.
This one way trail is completely unique in Lanaudiere. This is one of my prefered trail especially in Dam direction...
The ride was so fun that we forgot to take many pics...
And we arrived at the dam
They actually empty the Lake to be able to handle the spring snow melting. The flow is huge...
And when I say that they empty it, look at this pic took in december...
And this other one took in april of last year...
Hydro Quebec that own that dam built this footbrige especially for snowmobiles (and ATV in summer) few year ago...
We next take the #360 trail in Taureau Lake auberge direction...
There's few good straight lines where we can open the trottle a little...
Here the trail was following the lake...
The scenic really change as the lake is emptied, here a pic of the same area in last april..
Just next the Taureau Lake Auberge, you have the choice to go up in the mountain to zig zag 30 to 40 minutes in the woods, or take the Lake express way to Saint-Michel....
Less than 15 minutes and you're at the Central at St-Michel. A little bit more when you stopped to take pics...
My good partners wait for us, and then grasped the throttle again...
The trails were so nice that we were early on our prevision. After fueling in St-Michel, we took the Mont-Tremblant park direction and went back home in Joliette by the #33 and #63 trails.
It give us another beautiful 260 miles of smiling in Lanaudiere
Bye
