Alright guys need some opinions. Current setup is 06 GT with Doo Pilot 5.7 ski's with 6" dooly's and 168 studs. Have absolutely no complaints about this setup.
But, I need a new set of carbides and was considering going back to the Yammi ski's with the snowtrackers after reading many positive responses about them. My primary reason for not wanting to stay with the doolys is that I suspect and have read that they produce more drag than single carbide runners. Even if they do track very well. And I also realize that I will probably have more money in going with the snowtracker setup since I no longer have my original Yammi skis and would have to purchase new one's.
So here are my questions: will this be a better setup than I currently have, with less drag (for better top speed and gas mileage)?
How well do the Snowtrackers steer when crossing or turning on bare roads?
Where is the best place to purchase them here in the states?
I will definitely want the aggresive version should I decide to go that route.
Thanks!
