Alright guys need some opinions. Current setup is 06 GT with Doo Pilot 5.7 ski's with 6" dooly's and 168 studs. Have absolutely no complaints about this setup.

But, I need a new set of carbides and was considering going back to the Yammi ski's with the snowtrackers after reading many positive responses about them. My primary reason for not wanting to stay with the doolys is that I suspect and have read that they produce more drag than single carbide runners. Even if they do track very well. And I also realize that I will probably have more money in going with the snowtracker setup since I no longer have my original Yammi skis and would have to purchase new one's.

So here are my questions: will this be a better setup than I currently have, with less drag (for better top speed and gas mileage)?

How well do the Snowtrackers steer when crossing or turning on bare roads?

Where is the best place to purchase them here in the states?

I will definitely want the aggresive version should I decide to go that route.
Thanks!

Snow Trackers are a great add on. I tried them 3 weeks ago on Hurley Wisconsin trails and had very good results on my 2007 attack GT with 168 studs. I enjoyed the confidence boost on the tight corners. they made me a little nervous at high speeds knowing that what I put into the handle bars was the direct result of what the skis were going to do. But I got used to them.

Road crossing are very similar to regular carbides. You do get a little more bite. but I always cringe crossing roads know the cost of them

Longevity these thing are tough and the auto sharpening is exactly what they say it is

I noticed the Drag instantly. I previously had tuner skis on with a 4/2 combo.

At the pump its not extremely noticeable. may a 1/4 of a gallon more of fuel on a tank.

At the end of the day I switched back to my tuner skis and went with at 6/4 set up. Its not the performance of the snow trackers but its close and i did get back some darting not much. I had troubles adjusting to the added drag and found what worked for me. That's my experience with snow trackers. there are a ton of reviews on here and i found a pair of slightly used ones on eBay for 65 dollars so I had to try them

You have a better ski in your 5.7 pilots using them with the trackers, I've been using this combo for four seasons now and couldn't be happier. Pilots make the older Apexs turn like they have power steering, far less arm fatigue, and the trackers just fat out work! I've had no lose of speed on a good snow base or ice, but with the amount snow we have had this year, we are in very little base and the dirt alot, so there is more drag on that long skag.

they dont turn well on dry pavement in foreward but do well in reverse but on the snow nothing is as good as them.

Been using Simmons skis with Bergstrom triple points on my 07 Apex for 5 years, about 8,000 miles.
Switched to Yammi's skis with sno-trackers and very happy for the last 2000 miles. No darting, corners well and steering effort was reduced by half.
