I just installed a riser on my new 2011 Apex and I had to reroute the throttle cable for clearance. I've noticed now that my throttle cable freeplay is too great and I have to adjust it, but there doesn't seem to be an adjustment nut midway through the cable like on my old Nytro. I understand that I'll have to adjust the cable down in the engine compartment.

I've only pulled the hood and side panels thus far on my sled, so everything is new to me and I'm not familiar with where everything is.

What the quickest route (access) to adjust the cable? Do I need to remove the airbox? Or gas tank? Or just a couple of panels? I don't want to pull everything off and find out later that it wasn't needed.

I found this in my service manual for a 2006 Apex. Not sure if it will work for the 2011 Apex but I hope it helps.

FWIW on the phazer I had to take off the airbox to get to the adjustment.

Thanks...I just checked my owners manual and it has the same directions.
