Since I went with a 144 down the center pic pattern, I did some investigating, and found an axle that I used for an extra wheel setup on the asphalt. There is a set of holes that are the perfect height, and will put more pressure to the track in front of the rear shock arm and the rear wheels.

Also put a set of hyfax savers on on the front bend.

How do these small wheels hold up? Do you get a winter out of them before you have to replace?

Just curious as I ordered a set of hyfax savers myself.

Didn't have them in the winter yet, but ran these on the asphalt for months without a problem. Just put in new bearings, so will keep an eye on them when I trail ride.

I know a few guys that ran them on the 03 and 04 Firecats, they have 4000 on them no problems.

I was wondering the same thing myself. It seems these wheels would fail after a long ride, spinning so quick and all.

Nos-Pro, on the set of wheels you mounted in front of the rear arm, would you not have been able to install the axle, and corresponding larger wheels, in the existing holes above where you mounted them?

I used the holes that are in the rails from factory, and the small wheels fit perfect, and contact the track just like the factory rear and side wheels. The pic may not look like it, as I had it in the air to get my camera in. The larger wheels would have needed another set of holes above the factory ones.

A couple of friends of mine have used them on there Yamahas for years. The wheels always peeled off of the bearing. Your's look like they are made alot stronger. Maybe a different brand. I think they take alot of impact wear they are located at. I like the rear inside ones, good idea.

Small wheels

You want to put the wheels to the inside of the rail. Also, before you install them take the bearing out and go to your local bearing dealer and buy a quality bearing replacement. The ones that come with them are cheap and won't take a beating.

nytro23, that is what I did, was replace the bearings right away.

Looking for more ways to put wheels in, cause I want to race the factory skid on asphalt.
