Where would it be best to get power for the for the signal/switch side of the relay when adding lights? I'm looking for a circuit that doesn't have power when the key is off and that won't affect anything else. I've been looking for wire diagram but unable to find one.
I use a helmet headlight for all night rides on all machines. On the Pro I tapped off the high beam power wire. That way I can easily select on or off for the helmet light, like to stop and chat with another rider without blinding them. Works great on the Pro. The old Viking 2-strokes didn't have the juice to power an added halogen light. Maybe the new LEDs will work well. There are some really nice LED lights available these days!
Added some LED lights off a Cat loader on the sides of my winch mount. Works well especially when you have things on the rack that block the headlights. Tied into the high beam like Stewart.
