Hey guys,

I have a 07 Apex RTX stretched to 128" runing a Cobra 1.352 track and am planning to run 1.450 Woodys Gold Digger studs (204 qty.). Do I need to add more material to the existing tunnel protectors? If so how much? 3/8, 1/2" etc.

Thanks!

I think you do. I don't know how much as I have an Attak. But with my Attak I had to go almost 1 1/2" over the cooler tapering down to nothing just behind the upper wheels.
Lot's of posts here so a good search might give you the answers for the exact amount of inches.

I would... My stock RTX with 168 1.325 woodies still kissed the exhaust/tunnel. Only a real issue at high speed bumps when track is ballooning... I'd go another 1/2" if you need anymore than that you have other issues!...

I'll add some HPDE in 1/2" thickness the length of the current tunnel protectors and see if that is sufficient. I've searched all over trying to find out but there are so many variables!! :o| I weigh 160lbs fully dressed so hopefully that is in my favor!

Thanks!

On my Attak I was told not to go past the upper wheels and to end before them coming from rear because the track will bind in there but this was for an Attak I believe.
