LOOKING FOR FEEDBACK FROM APEX XTX 1.75 OWNERS, PLEASE! Tunnel Protectors
I ride a 2011 Apex XTX to which I recently added a 1.6 Ice Cobra track. I have removed the original tunnel protectors for additional clearance but I am still concerned about protecting the exhaust and cooling systems.
I notice the tunnel protector part numbers on the Apex XTX 1.75" are different than the XTX's equipped with a 1.25" Ripsaw. The 1.75 part number is 8KL-21978-00-00 whereas the 1.25 is 8HN-21978-00-00.
What I am wondering is the profile height of the 1.75 protector less than the 1.25?
If it is, I am thinking I will install the 1.75 protectors so I will still have protection from the Ice Cobra studs while keeping as much clearance as possible to the track lugs.
