After riding a few AC's yesterday i came to realize that i have WAYYYYY to much ski pressure on my Apex ER. I am pretty much a GAS and go rider so i am wondering if you guys can tell me how to lessen the ski pressure on my sled?

either let out the limiter a hole or give the skid more transfer..

I too had way to much ski preasure. I jacked up the front end, used a flat head screwdriver to loosin the lock spanner, then marked the adjustment spanner with a permanent majic marker. I then loosened the adjustment spanner four rotations and relocked it down. Man, what a difference!

RippinV, do you mean you were adjusting the preload on the front shocks?

I was adjusting the spring compression, actually loosening up the spring pressure.

So just to be sure as i spoke with the Yamaha dealer, did you actually tighten up the spring tension or did you loosen the spring tension? The dealer is actually saying you increase the tension on the front springs...

i have been told for years to adjust ski pressure you adjust the limiter strap. spring pressure on the shocks only controll the how the shock absorbers take the bumps.

If you take spring out of the front shocks it will make lighter steering. You really need to let the limiter out to take weight off of the skis. When you let the limiter out you need to readjsut your center shock spring tighter
