Adjusting CO settings

SAME AS THIS EXCEPT "In the nose of the sled there is a single female white connector maybe 3" back from the ECU. This connector currently has a "cap" in it. You remove the "cap" and hook a wire to it and ground it to the chassis"THE CONNECTOR IS LOCATED ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ENGINE ,OUT IN THE OPEN I BELIEVE.I'M SURE Srxspec CAN TELL YOU EXACTLY.

In the nose of the sled there is a single female white connector maybe 3" back from the ECU. This connector currently has a "cap" in it. You remove the "cap" and hook a wire to it and ground it to the chassis. Then you will want to go into Diagnostic mode.

To enter Diagnostic mode:
- With the key and kill switch off, press and hold both "Select and Reset" buttons then power up the gauge by turning both the key and kill switch on.
- Wait 8 seconds and the gauge will go blank except for "DI" in the display.
- Press "Select" to toggle between "DI" and "C0", Select "C0". (If it doesn't go to "CO" then you do not have the wire ground properly).
- Press and hold both "Select and Reset" 3 seconds
- Gauge will display "C:01", (this is where you select which cylinder you want to adjust)
- Press and hold "Select and Reset" 3 seconds and 0 should appear in the odometer section
- Press "Select" to increase the number (richer), "Reset" to decrease the number (leaner)
- Example: (10 would be richer) (-10 would be leaner)
- Press both "Select and reset" to chose C:02 and adjust the same as above (must do this for each cylinder)

The only white connector I found up front in the nose has another wire plugged into it. I tried grounding each end alternately and then powered it up holding both buttons until D1 came up. I could not get it to switch to CO. I am stuck, any suggestions.

Thanks

Just a question, but why are you adjusting the CO settings? If it is anything like a Grizzly, when you do that mod, you are supposedly just addressing the first 1/4 throttle, and it will not effect the top end, full throttle operation, if they are the same. They had to adjust mine on my '07 as they were stalling at idle or after heavy breaking, supposedly from being too lean from the factory. :dunno:

At least that was the conclusion at Grizzly Central Forums.

The connector on the Apex isn't in the nose like the Nytro. It's on the right side.Take off the right panel & it's in the upper center .The white connector only has one wire in with a blank end.Sorry I don't have a picture.I wouldn't be grounding out wires unless I was sure that it was the right one.I adjusted my nytro to + 8 only for better starting.I did experement whith my SE, but I found it was best at 0 & left it at that.

Okay thanks I'll look tomorrow. Just want to verify the settings. It stumbles on start up at times.
When apex's are cold it's not unusual for it to fire 2 or3 times to start.

Thanks. Apparently the start up/idle issue is an on-going problem w/ there mappings. Didn't know the sleds had the issue too.
