what aftermarket exhaust out there use the factory exhaust covers? i got my sled custom painted after crashing it and never say that i cracked the exhaust tube where it comes out of the muffler :o| ,until i had all the covers off to bleed it after putting the yamaha rear heat exchanger on, i even had a stock exhaust that came with the parts i bought to replace my crashed ones and gave it to allen ulmer.

I have a Bender quiet system, and it fits in the stock location, but requires some minor dremel tool work with the heat shield on one side.

Skinz Ultra Q is a great silencer for the $ with proven HP gains and weight loss. Plus sounds just like stock, but with a cooler tone.

i went back and looked at it after venting on the forum and see that its only cracked along where the factory weld is, i wonder if i can braze it

I do know that White Knuckle is the manufacturer of Benders' kit. I think Bender has different specs, though. I have heard a White Knuckle setup that is far different sounding than mine.

I see you are from Wisconsin. I'd be very careful about what system you install. Noise police are plenty.
I do think you can behave and probbly get away with a mild system, but I do know that the straight-through system(s) can tend to be louder. Awesome, but louder. I do take my sled into Wisconsin quite a bit, but I always bring my stock system with us just in case. I'd hate to not be able to finish our trips, but the ticket would suck. I have been checked by Wisconsin DNR on the trails, mainly they want to see trail permits, but none of them have said anything about my exhaust yet (knock on wood).
