I went to my local Yamaha dealer to pickup an idler wheel and I almost fell over when they told me it was $76.00. I asked them to order me an aftermarket one and they looked it up and I paid $24.00 for them to order me the aftermarket wheel. I just got home and they were on the answering machine saying that the aftermarket wheel wasn't available. I don't want to sound cheap but $76.00 is crazy for an idler wheel. Someone must make an aftermarket idler wheel for the 06 Apex. I don't have a problem with slide wear so I want to keep the stock size.

I had the same isssue... nice solution. I bought the hyfax saver kit from pioneer and it is made to fit the $76 wheel only. Turns out it will take this wheel mentioned but is about 1mm from flush with race of bearing.. I will run it as is. Great to know these fit. Dealer told me that yami is charging high money b/c they need to cover the r&d side of it as they are making the wheel.
