Saw a post on here somewhere (can't find it again) wondering if anyone made replacement W-arms for the pro-action. Sno-Tek Components (www.sno-tek.com) makes a chrome-moly version (stronger+2lbs lighter) or so the ad in a Nov. 03 issue of Sno-tech says. Don't have any personal experience with this company or the product but if I ever break one I'll check it out.

I just had to replace mine and used Maxx Perf's it seemed to be beefed up in the right places. My old one broke in two and took out a bunch of the track clips and inside drive lugs....I suggest to my buds to look very close for cracks and change that sucker before it's too late.....

I really like those Powderlites, unfortunately they don't make them anymore
Not too certain about the ones from Sno-Tek either?

Don't replace it. Weld it back together and reinforce it. Its made of regular steel.

heh heh.. even if one doesnt do it himself... it still would cost WAY less to get someone to fix and reinforce it than to buy new aftermarket. That being said, I'm a programmer, not a welder, and I not only fixed and reinforced mine myself, its significantly modified.

aftermarket W-arm
MAXIMUM PREF.
I tried to order one from SnoTek and he said that it would be about 2 months. Not to bad being this was in Sept of 04. He had to make them up then send them out for heat treating then powdercoat.
OK i can wait. Well 2 months goes by no W-arm no word form SNOTEK so i call. His reply was Oh Yea I still have to make those. So Another 2 months??? At this point I am getting nervous I can see DEC. 1st right around the corner. So after a couple of weeks I call again.. Still same reply that he has not had a chance to make them yet
So I call Maxx. Pref. Their arms are just comming back from powder coat and I would have it in a week. YUP it came in a weeks time
Very nice part priced at only $225.00.. That gets you the stronger arm, powder coat, and new bushings.
I put 3000 miles on the SRX this season and not a single stress crack.

Yeah, I suppose I could break-out the wire-feed and saws-all. Thanks for the earlier suggestion LB

It turns out that MAXIMUM PREF is about 5 miles from my house. I was over there today and took a look at there w are they sell for 225 . It looks good reinforced and powder coated. They said they have good luck with them. I am going to get mine off and then decide weather to replace or weld. ,But right now I am in the middle of the reverse install.
