alright i have heard about the Ram air wich is cutting the top then from bender i think it is they cut the bottom part of the air box. does anyone no which way to go is better and gets the most power without hurting your sled.. and i would like to do it myself so which way should i go
thanks..

Just did Rockerdan's ram air mod listed above this weekend. It was relatively easy and turned out great. Make sure you take your time and it helps to have a wife or girl friend who can sew the prefilter material to the wire frame. I'm very happy with the result. Sled sounds mean! Can't wait to get it out on the snow. Thanks again to Rockerdan! Saved me tons of money.

Look into making an opening from the bottom of the airbox, simular to what Ulmer does, i.e. "Stealth Airbox Mod" Much cleaner look IMO with the same results... All you need is a rotozip/sawzaw, filter material (buy on internet), two way carpet tape and superglue for extra reinforcement..

same results?.....not in our testing...not even close.

the stealth MOD is not RAM AIR,it just opens up for MORE UNDERHOOD AIR,it helps but nothing like a ram air does on TOP SPEED.

alright thanks that is alot of help i think i am going to go with the ram air because it sounds liek you get more power and it seems pretty simple to do

i was looking at the pictures that rockerdan put up now could i just putt that netting stuff where the holes are or do you need it all over the top?

I'm no expert, but I think you could just cover the cut outs IF, and thats a big IF, you could seal it tightly. You don't want a piece of prefilter to get sucked into the intake. If you put your hand over the cut out section and fire up your sled, you can feel the pressure being pulled in.
