Went out for the first ride today.Last year I ran 130 mains jetting with the cpr intercooler at 16 psi and a/f was at 12.2 at wot.I made some mods to the intercooler this year and when I open her up I had to let go the a/f was in the 20 with the 130 mains .I then change them out for 135 mains and the a/f went down to 15 ,made another change to 137.5 and went down to 13 a/f ,this is only at 9 psi .I want to run at 18 psi so what main jetting should I put in next?I did not think that this intercooler was stopping me from going up in mains jetting but it did .

Where are you getting your float bowl signal from, the tank or the charge pipe?
145 are common with high flow intercoolers.

What difference would you see on the AFRs taking the float bowl signal from the charge pipe vs from the IC plenum tank?

Will did some testing today ,with the 147.5 she ran 12 .1 a/f at 10200 rpm at 16 psi .Running 110 race fuel with the meth .I made 6 runs at 660 ft and would stop between runs .The last run on 16 psi the # one rod broke in two .I had enought with this for this year .I don t know how some people can run over 20 psi on stock rods .This is the second time it happends under 20 psi .

More Details Please, Was the motor new, used, rebuilt?
Water Temps?
Oil Temps?
Oil Pressure?
There are usually only 2 things that will take out a connecting rod Detonation or lack of lubrication.
Cooling is a big factor because is affects Oil Temps.
Usually Spins a bearing first then breaks the Rod.

10 to 1 low comp pistons with stock head gasket.New motor with new rods and pistons.water temp was 160 ,she did not detonate,Oil temps I don t know .there was 3 quarts left in the bottom of the engine .I road all morning before I did some testing .The oil was flowing good before I went out.I will start all over this summer with good rods this time.also the wrist pin was crack but still in tack.
