So today, I was servicing my 2006 Nytro before the first ride of the year and I've been reading on here about the little pain in the a** hose in the bottom of the air box and how it's so hard to put back on. I had to replace my battery so off came the airbox but I didn't remove it completely so I kept the one hose attached but there is still another hose on the very bottom of the air box that wasn't attached to anything and doesn't look like it ever was. It this a normal drain hose or is it suppose to be attached to something.
There are two hoses hanging off the bottom of your air box. There is a true drain hose that is approx 4-5" long that does not connect to anything. There is also a longer crank case breather hose approx 10-12" that attaches to the lower right side engine cover behind the oil tank. When I need to remove the air box I find it easier to remove this hose off the lower engine and not the bottom of the air box as long as the side panel is off. G.B.
