the iron dog race is at its halfway point and Niver and Zugg are still in the hunt. The majority of the field has scratched from the race. they are currently in 10 th position. any thing can happen at this point and this is fastest part of the race which consist mostly of running 850 miles alongthe Yukon river. In a race like this Its a battle of attrition . It's not always the fastest but who has the endurance of machine and body. Good luck Team #23.

It apears team #23 has scratched at Nome at 1:30. Sure is disappointing.

Ilive about a hundred and fifty miles above nome and our riding conditions consist of glare ice and what snow that we had melted into a concrete hard pack . This stuff eats plastic skis, hyfax, chews on rubber and rattles your teeth and bones. After the snow melted in the warm weather the temperture dropped and stayed around zero.waiting for some fluffy white snow for some decent riding.
