Does anyone have a chart for clutch/carb setting for riding at high altitudes?

Since we have no snow here, my brother and I are going out west after Christmas. I've never riding anywhere but the midwest, and if I'm correct, you need to adjust the clutch and the carb jetting - right?

I thought something might be listed in the owner's manual, but all it says is to contact your dealer.

I'm running an '06 Nytro. Does anyone have a chart showing what the clutch/carb settings should be at different altitudes?

Thanks!

You won't have to adjust the carbs at all. We rode our Vector at our normal elevation of 1350' and went up to 8,000' elevation and didn't change a thing and it ran great and still got great mileage. Are you running stock clutching currently?

yep - stock clutch

ya, what about clutching. I am running loaded up h.h. and heavier springs for my turbo.

nytro

I didn't jet my vector the first two times and then I bought the jets but didn't make it out with sled I got rid of it.The 3 cylinders only use one sixe smaller main jet.Just throw a 41 degree helix in your sled and you should be good to go.

i cant believe the stock jetting didnt run super rich at that altitude.

I lived in laramie wyoming 13 years ago and my car had about half the HP when i got that compared to when i got back..

We had to advance the hell out of the timing..

Ran like a raped ape once i got back to Iowa..LMAO

I'm heading to Island Park, ID the middle of January with my Attak. I'm changing primary weights and dropping from the stock 23T top gear to a 21T top gear. I figure I'm already at a disadvantage with the 136" track and crappy 1-1/4" ripsaw that I don't need any other handicaps.
