Daytona said:Some have said that on the Yamaha due to the weight you are tired at the end of the day of long riding.
I don't think that's true at all. In fact, I think just the opposite. I think it takes a lot more "saddle action" to keep a Rev under control. What makes me tired at the end of the day is how well my sled handles a rough trail (rough groomed trail, as opposed to three-foot mogul ditch-bashing). I am totally confident that my Apex will do as well, probably better, than any Rev on a groomed trail (regardless of it's state of grooming). Your LTX GT would likely do even better on groomed trail moguls than my sled does.
Now, I did initially think that my shoulders got more tired and sore on my Apex and was worried about that for the first couple of hundred miles or so. Then I decided to RTFM and spend a little time online to learn how to set the sled up properly. What a difference! Literally night and day relative to steering effort.

If I were you I would make sure you also ride the FX Nytro Standard not the RTX. Having worked on a few of my friends (doing oil changes and such, I can tell you that regular maintenance is much easier with the exception of getting those darn darts off. I also feel that the chasis is much more rigid (09' will address any front end issues) and will last much longer. If you never went off trail or in the ditches I would say go Vector all the way, but I think that the suspension is much more useable in the FX than the Apex. Buy that I mean you will be less likely to require a bunch of shock adjustments (valving) and such. For me any way rider position is much better suited for all around riding but that's just me. Some love the seating of the Apex, myself I now feel like I'm being swallowed by a couch. Alstimatly I think the Apex may look better but the Nytro is bare bones what you need, not a bunch of trim and flashy things; which in my opinion is what I preffer. I would deffinently do some reading and get an all alround look at each model.
