Wow, not such a big difference to Canadian pricing now, although I was hoping Canadian Prices would fall to bring them more into line....

This kills the idea of buying one in the states, by the time your done importing it your probably less than $1,000 difference

Great sleds! Nice improvements! New Apex for $14,500 in this economy. Here in Vermont were looking for work. Last season riding done mid Feb. and this season no snow beginning of Feb. Fast becoming a rich mans sport. I'll be keeping the '06 RTX for a long time and lovin it.

I guess Market for used Apex will be gaining in popularity.

Will see what the other manufactures will do. Seems to me that sport will be out of reach for many riders.

Too Bad.....

Looks like I will keep my 06 RTX and put over 10,000 miles on it! Those prices...OUCH! Nice sled, but almost $5000 more than my 06. It should keep the resale value of the older Apex's up though.

Value of used Yammies just went up a grand today I would say.

I like the design upgrades for 2011 but $14,949 American for a f#%&!*g snowmobile! Really dissapointed w/ the price, what are they thinking in this economy???? The only way I pay that much for any sled is if it can give me a blow job!

Ugggghhhhh.

well boys look up the candian price on the 2011 Apex SE $17,799..... so your american pricing is looking good.... even with the exchange you guys are still much cheeper.... IMO...

now yamaha has pretty much killed any reason for us cdns to go south and pick up something new due to your guys price going up. the difference is minimal now. I think were gonna see the aftermarket dealers licking there lips alot more this year.

Apparantly no one informed the Japanese of the rough state of the American economy. Jesus, for a couple more grand you can buy a nice, entry level sports car!

I agree on the "blow job" upgrade--I'd shell out 15k if it had that along with a handlebar mounted 'swallow' button. Haha. Although, for that price, swallowing should be an expectation, not an upgrade!

What was the price of the 2010 Apex's? I'll definately be keeping my '06 for a few more years. I'm sure there will be a lot of showroom leftovers to choose from..

yea too bad about the priceing..

Nice sled though..

I easily spent 25% of the initial cost of my Attak GT in modifications to bring it to where it is today... hands down a much better sled than what Yamaha sold me.

If the power steering, seat, skis, engine, exhaust, hand warmers, air suspension, front end geometry and windshield of the new Apex perform as expected, the price then is more in line with my previous purchase from Yamaha.

The difficult part I am having with justifying the additional cost is how it stacks up in price to the competition (namely Ski Doo's 1200 4-stroke.) I am not convinced it is worth the extra coin.
