I know, I know.. Its a very familiar story. 3 sleds go into the woods..... 2 yamis and a cat... Guess which one was towed out....

No one had a rope, He asked me if I had one.. I said: "What.... I don't carry a tow rope, I ride a yamaha instead...." LOL...

Truely I feel bad for my bud whos sled, we believe is blown.... Of course I usually don't tow anyone without taking pics but I didn't have my camera and the only person with a camera was the one with the broke down sled and he wasn't lettin us have it... LOL...

We did tow him through every bar parking lot on the way home though...

So to everyone who said I was crazy to believe its normal to have to put $2000 in a sled before it hits 10,000 miles.. D&D quoted $1050 to rebuild this one if it needs a cylinder, which they believe it does... This sled has 3900 miles... So we are over 1/2 way to $2000 on this sled and that dosn't include the fuel pump he put in it last year, and the ecu that had to be replaced the year before that.... I'd say this one will be way over $2000 allready....

I have only had two other sled then yamahas one was a 2006 ski-doo500ss and the wife love it and then we had a 98 mxz670 fastas hell but it would cook the motor every other year. :4STroke: :yam:

Karma is a bitch!!!

Yesterday I went riding with some friends and one guy brought another who he introduced as his mechanic. (Both ride Polaris) I said I don't need a mechanic, I ride a Yamaha. As they were all gearing up, I was checking out my skid and noticed a bolt for the transfer rod had broke and the transfer rod was flopping around. I had to ask everyone for a extra bolt!!!...which no one had so I used one from my idler wheel. To me that's not really a breakdown but could have been. I should have kept my mouth shut!!

(Polaris guy did end blowing a belt later!!!!!)

I ride with a guy who is die hard skidoo and he gives me tons of crap for riding a Yamaha. Last year I had to tow his brand new 2009 XPX 600 E-tec 70 miles because his motor blew. Karma is a bitch for sure!

You could have drove your sled with no transfer rod in it..(a little bit of wheelies and fun for one day) LOL

You shouldn't make fun of anyone for breaking down! They all break and Karma is a biotch!

Oh no doubt karma is a bitch, thanks for the ethics lesson but thats why Im picking on him. He picked on me for years when my poos broke down and two years ago when my W arm broke on my (super reliable) RX-1 he spent lots and lots of time picking on me so Im within my right to pick on him for this one

And yes they do all break, but yamahas do it less... and if you send the time to beef up your monoshock.. You will have even less probelms....

Last season I posted pics of me towing my buddies Fusion off the lake and if I had a camera this time I'd have taken pics and posted them too... Thats just how we play with each other in our group...

BTW, I emailed him a link to this thread so Im not even talking about him behind his back... he knows all about it..... lmfao.,....
