I put anti ratchet drivers on and I didn't put those locking collars on each end of the drivers should those be put on or are they not needed? Could the drivers move?

i asked myself the other night when i put mine on.
anyway i put them on just in case. i can't see that they would hurt anything and would maybe keep them from moving outwards. if i find out they should not be there i guess i will have to take it all apart and remove them.
